Set against the tropical backdrop of Goa, this twin-villa project was envisioned as a celebration of slow, intentional living - one where material honesty meets coastal elegance. Each villa, spread across approx. 5200 sq. ft., was designed and executed end-to-end by WellThenSo.
The interiors reflect a warm, lived-in sensibility - where curved false ceilings, IPS-finished walls and bathrooms, and carefully layered lighting create soft transitions from one space to the next. Every floor features a different handmade tile, with Spanish-inspired motifs anchoring key common areas. Custom solid wood furniture, bespoke upholstered pieces, and handcrafted rugs lend richness without excess. Window frames in UPVC wood-finish balance performance with timeless charm. Every room in these villas tells its own story - subtle, personal, and tactile - yet all feel connected through a restrained, grounded material language.
Framed by UPVC wood-finish windows that usher in Goa's natural light, this living room sets the tone for the villa - calm, textural, and inviting. Spanish-patterned flooring brings subtle movement underfoot, while the warm tones of solid teak furniture and custom-upholstered seating build a soft, earthy palette.
The space is anchored by a handwoven rug and layered with soft linen drapes and bespoke cushions. The false ceiling is curved gently to add volume and softness, concealing mood lighting that glows warmly as the day fades.
Everything in this room is built for comfort and quiet luxury - from the hand-finished cabinetry to the selected artwork, and from the hidden storage to the thoughtful proportions of each custom element.
In both villas, the main living and dining areas are conceived as one fluid volume - a seamless integration of lounging, dining, and movement. What makes the space exceptional is not just its openness, but the way each design layer responds to the other.
The open-plan layout is framed by a curved false ceiling detail that flows around the room like a ribbon. It serves both as a spatial anchor and as a housing for the layered lighting - indirect cove lighting, spotlights, and pendant fixtures. The ceiling, like the walls, is treated in a single soft-neutral paint, allowing material accents and furniture to take center stage.
The floor is finished in Spanish stone-patterned tiles laid in a diagonal bond, giving the space a grounded yet dynamic rhythm. The walls are devoid of visual clutter, with soft pink and pale neutral tones creating a continuous cocoon. Accents come in the form of large botanical wallpaper murals - custom designed and strategically placed on feature walls flanking the bar and TV console. These hand-illustrated pieces act as focal points without overwhelming the space.
Every piece of furniture in this zone is custom-designed and built in-house - solid wood consoles, curved lounge seating in pastel and stone hues, and sculptural side tables in oak finish. The central coffee table, an organic silhouette in ivory stone with cylindrical wooden legs, becomes the tactile heart of the living zone. A curved blush armchair adds softness, while mid-century bar consoles and minimal dining chairs maintain the language of clean luxury.
Lighting is perhaps the most expressive design layer here. A floating wave-form LED ceiling fixture in the living zone adds a sense of movement and nighttime drama, while a long brass chandelier in the media corner introduces symmetry and visual tension. Over the dining table, a trio of pendant lights - bamboo, ceramic, and woven - are curated to bring texture and tone variation.
Custom-made upholstered curtains frame every door and window, in a linen-texture beige that tempers the bolder furniture pieces. Handmade rugs - abstract, layered, and tonal - anchor each seating composition. The cushions, ceramics, and books are all curated in earthy, sunset-inspired tones to tie back to the architectural color scheme.
Soft sage paneling sets a soothing tone, layered with an upholstered headboard and a teak bench. Natural light fills the room through UPVC wood-finish windows, framed by linen curtains.
A soft rose-toned palette is complemented by botanical wallpaper, solid wood nightstands, and custom cushions. Feminine but minimal, it offers layered warmth.
A sand-colored wall meets deep indigo and charcoal accents - paired with grey tile flooring and sculptural wooden furniture.
